Watermelon Sugar is without a doubt the perfect summer song. Most likely if you were to ask some random person on the beach or on the street to name a Harry Styles song they would name this track. Harry Styles is the "Watermelon Sugar heartthrob," as he has been affectionately named by the media. The track though not considered a true fans favorite, is still an undeniably amazing track.
It is known for its featuring of horns and does not skimp in providing a sensual experience for the listener, as not just with the message of the song of pure blissful infatuation with life and love, but also through the intricate layering of the vocals with the instruments. The song is playful and gives listeners a euphoric escape into the feeling of summertime. You are inexplicably set free through the easy funk of this track, and can’t help but find yourself smiling as Harry tells you that “you’re the end of June.” It also makes for the perfect song to let loose and dance to in Styles' fashion with full-body movements, aggressive shoulder thrusts, and the easy swaying of the hips to either your own beat or to the rhythm of the song.
This song won a Grammy for a reason, and it can't be denied that this song truly transports you to a beach filled with psychedelic prints, halves of watermelons, beach balls, and heart shaped sunglasses of all colors.

Every artist has a song that they’re known for, and for Harry, Watermelon Sugar is that track. He is often referred to as the “Watermelon Sugar singer”. Even if you don’t know who he is, there’s no doubt that this song has been played on your local radio station a multitude of times. It may be considered a “fake fan favorite”, but even the die-hard fans who claim that it’s overrated, will find themselves swaying to the beat, and shouting every lyric.
It takes you on a psychedelic journey to a seventies-esque summer, full of horns and playful lyrics. On a beach with bright colors and hippie-like sunglasses, where everyone is letting go of the stress of their daily lives is the place where this track would play. Though the lyricism is simple, there is no denying its emphasis on the sweetness of life.
Pressing play on this track elicits a full body experience as you let the music take hold of you and travel to a place only Harry could create with his lyrics.
